Tracing the state of sport management research: a bibliometric analysis

چکیده
Abstract This article presents a state-of-the-art overview of the sport management research discipline through bibliometric analysis publication data from top five journals in decade 2011–2020. The includes citation and productivity journals, institutions, countries, articles, author output analysis, title abstract (co-)word analysis. identifies Sport Management Review as most prolific journal last decade. Institutions authors US are dominating research, which has increased its attractiveness other disciplines. Co-word shows recent frequently discussed topics related to organizations events, team game, marketing sponsorship, behaviour identification spectator. serves ongoing debate on an academic field with deep insights into structure thematic dynamics
